Ipartition Serial 34
Hi there, it was a silly idea i admit. The data did copy, and seemed to work fine. I plugged both my HDD's into a pc and just used some freeware to duplicate the info. It seemed to work fine, but then i realised that i had copied my 120GB's worth of partitions too, and cant use my other 200GB. In hind sight this was a very dumb thing to do.
Courtesy of C.O.R.E. IPartition makes it easy to create, destroy, resize or format partitions on your hard disks, whether internal, external, fixed or removable. With iPartition, resizing a partition is as simple as selecting it, grabbing the resize handle and dragging.
I do have an external HD that i can back the data onto. All the data seems to be fine but no partition software will allow me to repartition. Any ideas, Cheers Tim. Huawei p6 u06 firmware. Ok, this is what it says, does this help? It is correctly formatted for the MacBook. That said, only 'My Documents' presently has any data in use. 'Macbook' and the remaining 170 GB of the hard drive either locked from being formatted, or not formatted in a way that the 'Available' space is readable by the hard drive. My recommendation, make sure all your data is backed up, or recovered with the data recovery software I mentioned earlier at least twice, and reformat the hard drive as a single partition, making sure the entire drive aware is treated under Disk Utility options as GUID.
Then erase it. Then recover the data to the hard drive from your backup. Apple Footer • This site contains user submitted content, comments and opinions and is for informational purposes only.
