I am working on a customer's HP RP5000 Point of Sale system with MDPoS 2.0 installed. (Please see my previous post about the error message 'configuration file is missing') I want to back up the data files, remove & reinstall the software. The customer didn't provide the disks or the license key but a copy of the install files are in folders on the hard drive. I assume I need a product key of some sort to install this software, but the user didn't provide it (can't locate it). I don't want to try a clean install until I'm sure I can reinstall the software.

I have tried Belarc to retrieve the product key but it's only showing the code for Windows. Korobka peredach t 150k. As this is a factory installed HP POS system do you think it possible no code is necessary (just like HP OEM Windows doesn't need a key to install on an HP system).
