I also responded in the other thread. These rebranded NOMA units are actually Xantrex units. Very good products. Powersource 400 Powersource 1800 Keep in mind that i'm a little skeptical about even the 1800 'running a sump pump, refridgerator etc' continously for a longer length of time. I don't doubt that it will get these things going. But I wonder how long that 60 amp hour (3x20 amp hour SLA AGM) will actually last under sump pump conditions?
On the other hand, i'm quite surprised at the flexibility with my powersource 400. It's run many things in my home and it's been worth every penny.
Here's a review on the powersource 400 unit from home perspective. Jan 18th, 2007 3:10 pmVancouver, we had lots some even 3 days long and a few people died because they used their outdoor BBQ's to heat their home Wow, do you mean Vancouver itself or somewhere else in the GVRD? I live in Burnaby, and my computer was running UPS-less throughout this whole mess. Not so much as a flicker.
Domiki sostav chisla v predelah 10. Of course, I commute via transit, so I haven't escaped unharmed either. PS Tis sad and all, but I can't believe people are so stupid to mix unvented combustion and a tightly sealed home. I thought we had all learned about that many years ago. Here's a review on the powersource 400 unit from home perspective: Manufacturer says the 1800 can drive a 1/2 hp sump pump for 45 min. Probably just barely sufficient for a temporary blackout during a heavy storm. Should work for several hours during non-storm blackouts when the sump pump isn't working every few minutes.
See: I bought one last year when it went on sale for $349.99, then went back a month later for price protection adjustment when it went down to $299.99. If you're thinking of getting one, this is as cheap as it gets, so don't wait.
