The University Place Pierce County Library opened at its new location at 3609 Market Place W., University Place in February of 2011. The 15,000 square foot library features 80,000 books, movies, audiobooks and other materials.  The 1,500 square foot children’s area includes computers, children’s books and space for families to play and learn together. Teens can gather in the 1,040 square foot teens’ area to use the cyber bar, computers and 2,000 books geared towards teens. The library’s Job and Business Center provides resources for job searchers and small-business owners. The library includes meeting rooms free for public use: a 1,300 square foot meeting room that seats 85, a conference room that seats 8. Two study rooms provide additional space to gather.
